Founded by London-born, Italian-raised restaurateur and butcher Bruno and his family, A Mano, literally meaning ‘by hand’, promises to serve up a feast!
Committed to serving the best locally sourced ingredients, A Mano offers British and Italian favourites along with comfort food classics in a relaxed and informal brasserie setting. The upcoming launch will be no exception, serving a menu that combines hand-made pasta and pizza dough, as well as their take on ‘greasy spoon breakfasts’.
Bruno’s family originally hail from Italy but on coming to England, found themselves working in and eventually owning their own coffee bar & kitchen in Smithfield, London. Bruno’s father always promised to provide for his family, bringing home ‘only the best’, and this is something that they demonstrate in their menus – “using only the best, locally sourced produce and putting it together the best way we know how”, Bruno explains.
Open 7 days a week, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between, popular dishes include starters of pizza fritta (seasoned fried pizza); Homemade Carbonara; and the 100% British Beef Burger. Desserts include traditional Apple Pie and custard and Homemade Tiramisu. Their menu also boasts seven pizzas as well as a choice of salads and mains.
For those on the lookout for a quick bite to eat, A Mano Coffee Bar & Kitchen will be serving takeaway food and drink, both hot and cold, together with a range of retail items that can be tried and tested on the menu. Even their in-house roasted coffee beans will be available to buy. Their ‘deli’ menu will offer an affordable option for breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks with panini, salads, pasta, and homemade treats.
A Mano has incorporated outside seating and a relaxed bar area, welcoming diners from the restaurant, guests wanting to drop in for an after-work beer or pre-dinner cocktail, as well as those looking to enjoying a bottle of wine with friends. The bar menu will offer a wonderful selection of craft beers, including those from Chapel Down, as well as classic cocktails, prosecco and a selection of local wines from Surrey and Kent.
